GBS was proud to have hosted a special tour of our Greenford campus for the Mayor of the London Borough of Hounslow, Councillor Afzaal Kiani and the Leader of the Council, Cllr. Shantanu Rajawat which took place on 17th October.
Mayor Afzaal Kiani and Cllr. Shantanu Rajawat were welcomed by Deputy Chief Executive Officer at GBS, James Kennedy, Managing Director at GEDU, Leo Falcone and Director of Business Development, Asim Dutta. Our esteemed guests enjoyed having the chance to see what GBS was like by speaking to our students and teachers — learning more about how GBS makes a positive difference every day. There was also a reception held in the afternoon where our guests met with members of our Senior Management Team (SMT).
Leo Falcone, MD, GEDU: “Once again I have had the honour and the pleasure of representing the GEDU Group as we had the honour to meet Councillor Kiani at our Greenford campus. At GEDU, we have big ambitions, yet no matter how we expand and how much we grow, we will never under value our local communities and people. GEDU is all about the people, everyone who walks into one of our campuses receives the same excellent customer service.”
James Kennedy, Deputy CEO, GBS: “As we expand the GBS efforts in our community engagement, it is encouraging that our Greenford campus, has had the pleasure of welcoming Councillor Kiani to our West London Head Office. Here at GBS, our commitment to serving local communities is at the core of who we are. Having the privilege of hosting such a respected pillar within the community shows that we are making a positive impact and gives us all motivation to continue making progress. Together we can learn and improve from our experiences and specialisms, ensuring that GBS always represents our core values, local communities and beyond.”
We were excited to showcase the outstanding efforts made to change lives through education and make significant impacts on the local community. Following last week’s visit by the Mayor of Birmingham who helped launch our new Enterprise Hub, we look forward to organising similar events for local leadership across all the UK communities we serve in the future.
