Global Banking School (GBS) has once again achieved outstanding scores in the National Student Survey (NSS) exceeding the sector average positivity scores in each of the ten themes.
The results reflect the efforts made by GBS to develop an outstanding learning community. Our students have delivered an overwhelmingly positive verdict on their classroom experience with ‘teaching on my course’, ‘learning opportunities’, ‘assessment and feedback’ and ‘academic support’ all surpassing 90% and significantly exceeding the sector average. Equally important, however, is that our students have also recognised our commitment to working with them to continually improve what we do, with a student voice score a full 16% ahead of the sector average. Indeed, 86% of our students believed we acted on their feedback, compared to just 60% across the sector.
GBS is delighted that these exceptional scores highlight how their students really feel listened to and that there is a profound resonance with the student body. Students are at the heart of everything that GBS does, so it is rewarding to see how the responses amplify the importance of the student voice at GBS.
Professor Ray Lloyd, Chief Executive Officer of GBS, said
"Our purpose is to offer a high-quality education and to provide outstanding support to our students as they undertake their studies. It is gratifying that the extraordinary commitment and dedication of our staff team in delivering this has once again been recognised by our students. GBS continues to raise the bar in providing educational opportunities to underrepresented groups and we remain dedicated to nurturing professionals, who can make a significant impact in their respective fields. These results indicate that our students value the opportunities and support we offer them to achieve this. I am also delighted that our students have praised us for working with them to improve all we do and indicating that they feel we act on their feedback.”
GBS's ongoing commitment to outstanding teaching and student support allows us to deliver on our mission to provide transformative educational opportunities to students traditionally excluded from Higher Education through circumstance and not ability. GBS supports these students to succeed in courses and degrees that are industry relevant. The flexible study options are designed to complement the busy lifestyles of students - who often work full time and have families. GBS have partnerships with leading universities as well as their own range of certificate and diploma courses. On a daily basis, the team at GBS fulfils a commitment to changing lives through education.
The glowing student feedback in the NSS scores solidifies the reputation of GBS as a top UK Higher Education provider.
