Global Banking School (GBS) proudly celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025, bringing together students and staff across campuses to honour the achievements of women and reinforce the importance of gender equality.

With this year’s theme of ‘Accelerate Action’, the celebrations focused on celebrating inclusivity, encouraging conversations on gender equity, and inspiring meaningful change. GBS campuses were decorated in IWD colours, and students and staff participated in a variety of engagement activities, including an afternoon tea, a photo campaign, and inspiring testimonials from female staff members.

In line with its commitment to gender equality, GBS recently launched the GBS Women’s Network, a platform designed to support, empower, and advocate for women across the organisation. The network provides opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and open discussions on challenges women face in the workplace.

Reflecting on the significance of International Women’s Day, Farrella Ryan-Coker, Head of Human Resources at GBS, shared: "At GBS, we recognise that real progress comes from more than just conversation — it requires action. We are committed to sustaining an inclusive workplace, reducing the gender pay gap, and ensuring that all women at GBS have the opportunity to thrive. International Women’s Day is a moment to celebrate the progress made, but also to reaffirm our commitment to driving meaningful change.”

As GBS continues to advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion, this year’s IWD celebrations serve as a powerful reminder of the work still to be done — and the collective effort needed to build a fairer future for all.
